ABOUT THE FOUNDERS
BlogPodium was founded in the Fall of 2011 by Jennifer Flores and Lindsay Stephenson. Both well established bloggers as well as published and recognized in their respective fields, the two came together to create Canada's First Conference marketed towards Design Bloggers. They craved a venue where they could learn from experts, connect with fellow bloggers, and engage with companies who supported them and BlogPodium was born. BlogPodium's first event "Blogs & Media" was hosted by the prestigious Interior Design Show on Trade Day and registration was sold out within 2 weeks. The event was a success, and confirmed that Canada needed its own conference for Design Bloggers.
Today, Jennifer continues to helm BlogPodium, using her unique marketing skills and business background to help connect great brands and the design industry with influential bloggers. Jennifer Flores is a writer, blogger, and pioneer in the Canadian design blogging community. Blogging since 2007, Jennifer is the writer behind Rambling Renovators, a chronicle of the renovations, DIY adventures, craft projects, and home life she shares with her husband Sean and daughter Chloe. Recognized for her inspirational designs, Jennifer has appeared on The Nate Berkus Show (the only Canadian blogger to do so) and has had her home published numerous home décor magazines including Style At Home and This Old House.
Jennifer has been included in Canadian House & Home’s “little black book of Canadian design blogs”, touted by Style At Home as one of their favourite “7 Stylish DIY Bloggers”, featured in The Globe & Mail’s Architourist column, and has been showcased on the blogosphere’s most popular design sites including Apartment Therapy, Design*Sponge, and Ohdeedoh.
Offline, Jennifer focuses on bringing the design & blogging communities together. As one of the organizers of the first Canadian Design Bloggers Meetup, Jennifer was instrumental in bringing together over 50 bloggers from across the Greater Toronto Area to network. She continues to foster the evolution of design blogging and is one of the co-founders of “BlogPodium” – a symposium that brings together bloggers, brands, and the design industry.
Jennifer is also a published author (Design City Toronto. London: John Wiley & Sons, 2007), holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University. With a previous career in project management and strategic consulting, she is currently exploring a way to bring her passions for blogging and business together by providing strategic and social media consulting services to bloggers, public relations firms, and brands.

Lindsay is the writer behind "Little House Blog" a blog that chronicles Lindsay's obsession with all things creative from interior decorating, renovating, or running her successful art company, The Penny Paper Co. Lindsay's ability to spot trends and business savvy made her a perfect partner to help bring BlogPodium to life. After helping organize two very successful conferences, Lindsay made the decision in June 2012 to leave BlogPodium and focus on her other business ventures. We continue to wish her well!
